Velle is a quiet place to keep the people you love: households and the people in them, the birthdays and anniversaries, the interests and the notes, the gift you almost forgot. That is a private thing. It should stay that way.
Our promise is short, and we mean every word of it.
Your information stays on your device
Everything you put into Velle is stored on your device. There is no account to create, and no server of ours that holds your information. We don't see what you keep here, because it never leaves your phone unless you choose to move it.
This means the strongest thing we can say about your privacy is also the simplest: we can't share what we never have.
We share nothing — with anyone
Any personal information that ever reaches us will never be given to a third party, under any circumstances. Not to advertisers. Not to data brokers. Not to "trusted partners." Not to anyone. There is no exception, and no price at which the answer becomes yes.
We use nothing without asking
We will never use your information for any purpose without your specific permission. No quiet repurposing. No terms that change the meaning of a word like yes after the fact. If we ever want to do something new with your data, we will ask you plainly, first — and you are always free to say no.
No tracking. No mining. No ads.
Velle does not target advertising, and it does not mine your data. It carries no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no tracking of any kind. There are no third-party SDKs inside it doing quiet work in the background.
And we do not keep the company of businesses that do these things. We will not affiliate ourselves with any third party whose work depends on compromising your privacy.
If this ever changes
A future version of Velle may offer optional sync, so your information can move between your own devices. If and when it does, it will be something you choose to turn on — never something switched on for you. Your information will remain yours, held under exactly the promises above, and we will never sell it. If that day comes, we'll update this policy in plain language and tell you what changed before it takes effect.
Deleting your information
Because your information lives on your device, you are in control of it. You can remove anything you've added at any time, and removing the app removes the information it holds.
A note on the name
Velle is listed on the App Store as Velle RM. It is the same app, and this policy covers it in full.
